ABOUT US Why can't I play Gaelic Football ? All it took was that simple question from a son to his mother to get the ball rolling. Siobhan McHugh had been asking for years "when was Allston-Brighton going to get Gaelic Football" , she never recieved the answer she wanted, so she took things into her own hands. The next thing you know homemade flyers were appearing in local stores and schools, asking all that were interested in playing to give her a call. People called and kids showed up. Now Gaelic Football is once again alive and kicking in town. It had always been a part of the Allston-Brighton communities in the past but for some reason it died out over the years. It appears now that there has always been a want and just maybe a need. Someone just had to take the reins. Siobhan has managed to get it done. Now all that is needed your help to keep it going. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. We may not have all the answers but we'll give it a go.

![]() Club Name : Na Fianna Na Fianna in Gaelic translates to "the Warriors". Long, long ago in Ireland, from the time of Conn Céadchathach in the second century, until the death of Cairpre Liffechair in the third century, there was a band of warriors called the Fianna, who defended Ireland against invasion. We hope to become a Band of Young Warriors that will learn to play together and go out and have fun as a group. And hopefully defend their own goal.
